Time of one’s own
It’s not often anymore that I get the chance to have a few minutes for myself — to sit in a coffee shop, read a book, or saver something yummy. Between my part-time lawyering and my part-time volunteering and my full-time job as a mom, cook, home improvement coordinator and general home wrangler it doesn’t always leave much time for myself.

Lately I’ve been trying to make a spot in every week to just sit and enjoy myself somewhere lovely for a few minutes. Sometimes it’s during the kiddo‘s piano lesson. Sometimes it’s a late lunch before I do school pick up. But I am enjoying my new tradition. It’s given me a chance to start reading again for fun.
Feeling fortunate to have the opportunity to do this. And feeling proud of myself for making it happen.
